Little Black Dress | Italy Inspired

Hello Everybody!

I haven't posted in quite a while, and to be honest, I have missed it. I have been enjoying these sort of lazy days, even though work has been killing me lately. BUT, anyways I hit the streets of what could have been the closest thing to Italy as I will get in a while. This place was so pretty and so Italian looking that I decided to get out my favorite little black dress out and show it to you all, but most importantly, I just had some fun! 

I absolutely love this dress and the way it is shaped. Sort of peplum top-ish and I love peplum tops.

No need to over due the accessories because this dress was so clean and simple and already had the collar, that I just added a bracelet. I hope that you enjoy the pics!

 

I had a lot of fun taking these pictures. Even though I was a little embarrassed when people would see us taking pictures, but I didn't mind at the end!

New Hair | Blonde & Brown

Hello Everyone!!

So today, on my lovely day off I decided to head over to the hair salon and get a bit of a makeover. Now along while back I had my hair ombre and I loved it! This is what my hair looked like a long time ago: 

I loved it, but taking care of it was hard and with time I sort of got tired of it. But today, I wanted to have that blonde back in my hair but in a bit of a different way. So instead of having just the bottom half of my hair blonde again I went for a more "natural" flowing color that mixed it with my brown hair. I also got a trim and some long layers. I love this new look and it makes me feel happier. I liked the normal brown hair but I felt like I needed a change! I was very happy with the results and I am glad that I went for a change. Change is good.  And this is a new summer look because I am finally finished with this brutal semester of sophomore year in college! So here a few pictures I took of my new hair.

Daily Essentials | My Favs.

Hello Everybody!

So I decided to start a new little section in my blog called "Maria's Essentials". It is going to be random things, outfits, make up or just the daily essentials for a specific day. I started a couple of weeks ago on Instagram and decided to put them on my blog also.  I love putting all of these little pictures together I don't know why. It is just so much fun and I love being able to take these pictures, edit them and make them look cool. I am still learning how to make them look better so be patient with me when it comes to quality. I will post the most recents up top and the older ones lower just to show that I am learning to make them better Ha ha! I will be making a page where I post all of these at the top in the Navigation bar so you can take a look at them whenever you want!!

Hair & Make Up | Prom Influenced

Hello Everyone!

So If you scroll a little bit down, you will see that my last post consisted of a prom inspired hair. This post is all about hair AND make up! 

This make up consisted of a lot of contouring under the eyes to the temples of my cheeks.  Then with some light bronzer I highlighted right under the cheekbones and around the hairline. I decided to keep it simple and do some cat eyes, and no eyeshadow. For the lips, I just did a light pink lipgloss. I kept the make up soft and simple, just like to give the whole look a natural look. 

The hair!! For the hair it was very simple! I just put a headband on (on top of the hair) and grabbed the loose hair and just kept tucking it into the headband. I tucked a lot just to keep it tight! It gave the look sort of a 1920s look which I am OBSESSED with! This is such a fun and flirty look for any occasion really. Prom or even a nice date :). This is one of my favorite looks just because it's more on the softer side.

Hairstyles | Prom Inspired

Hello Everybody!

So I know its prom season and wanted to show you one of my favorite and very easy hairstyles! A lot of high school girls have been coming into work to buy their accessories and having no idea what to do with their hair. I love being able to help them find their jewelry and give them advise on hair, so it gave me and idea for this post.  

I know back when I went to prom  I did something like this. I didn't really have the money to go to a hair dressers and have them do my hair so I had to improvise. I don't really know what to call this hairstyle, maybe a "Twisty- Curly do?" yeah. That will do. I always love finding new hairstyles and maybe this will give you some ideas for prom hairstyles.

It is really simple!! And I did film a "How-To" video, but I am not sure if I should upload it. 

I am always so self conscious about everything. But I'll think about it!
